What we collect

Email addresses, when you contact us or invite contributors to a birthday world. We do not collect phone numbers or postal addresses anywhere on this site.

The content you choose to add to a birthday experience: names, nicknames, dates, messages, memories, photos, audio and video moments, predictions and interest tags.

Basic technical information such as browser type and pages visited, used to keep the site fast and working.

How we use it

To build, seal and deliver the birthday experience you have created, and to invite the contributors you name.

To reply to messages you send us.

To improve the platform in aggregate. We do not sell personal information, and we do not rent contributor lists to anyone.

Contributor content is private

Content submitted by contributors is visible only to the person organising the birthday world and, once released, to the birthday person themselves.

Nothing is published publicly by us. Nothing unlocks before the moment the organiser chooses.

Children and family celebrations

Birthday worlds for children are created and managed by a parent, guardian or family member, who controls every invitation and every reveal.

We ask contributors for as little as possible — usually a name and an email address.

Retention and the annual archive

Birthday worlds are designed to be kept, so that each year becomes another chapter. The organiser can ask us to delete a world, an entry or an account at any time.

Deletion requests go to hello@birthdaywonderworks.com and are actioned promptly.

Cookies

We use only what is needed to run the site and understand aggregate usage. There is no advertising network embedded here.

Your choices

You may ask what we hold, request a copy, request corrections, or request deletion by emailing hello@birthdaywonderworks.com.

Contributors can withdraw their own submission before a world is released.

If this notice changes materially we will update this page and note the revision date below.
